GLP is Good Laboratory Practice. Ensure the quality and integrity of test data related to non-clinical safety studies is a one of the fundamental purposes of the Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

GLPs, as described by the Organization for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), “promote the quality and validity of test data used for determining the safety of chemicals and chemicals products” and promote the mutual acceptance of these data between the OECD member states. GLP principles “are required to be followed by test facilities carrying out studies to be submitted to national authorities for the purposes of assessment of chemicals and other uses relating to the protection of man and the environment”
